The Historic Gadsden Hotel

The Gadsden Hotel has been serving travelers from 1907 until today.  It lies in the heart of downtown Douglas.

Past guests include Eleanor Roosevelt, Lee Marvin, Shelly Winters and casts of a slew of movies filmed at the hotel.  The friendly staff can also sill you in on the love triangle of the Gadsden Ghost - cowboy "Jonathan: and "Jacinto" the soldier-who reputedly are still trying to win the ghostly hand of "Annie."

Vaulted stained-glass skylights run the length of the lobby.  There is a tavern, dining room and coffee shop on prremises.

Experience the splendor of one of the "Last of the Grand Hotels" -- a National Historic Monument - at old fashioned rates!!  Visit the website www.hotelgadsden.com

Teresa and I went to the hotel this afternoon and met with the owner.  We checked out several rooms.  It is really a beautiful place.  All rooms will be 25% off if you mention the Scott Family Reunion.  BE SURE YOU ASK FOR A ROOM WITH AIR CONDITIONING!!!

The Jacuzzi rooms are beautiful.  They have a Hacienda Room,  a Cowboy Room, and an Italian Room. I have already reserved the Harley and Airplane rooms.
Here are a list of rooms and rates (without the 25% off):

Jacuzzi Rooms (usually $150 a night, but they will give them to us at $100.)
King Suite  $100
King Room $80
2 Queen Room $85
Queen $70
2 Double Beds $70
1 Double Bed $60
